Camping and Touring on Trawsdir

Trawsdir caters for up to 30 tents and has electrical, and non electrical pitches available. We also have 70 touring pitches available and all pitches have electric, water and waste – water facilities, with the majority of which being hard standing. New pitches have been created with excellent mountain and sea views, and are clean and spacious. We also can cater for large Tourers, Motorhomes and American RV’s.

The basic camping areas are on the front field with unrestricted views of the sea. The maximum size of tents we accept on these pitches are 7m X 7m. Camping with electrical hook-up facility is on the front field, and also in the Back Field, and like basic camping the maximum size for a tent is 7m X 7m. The Back Field pitches boast some sea views, and also the impressive back drop of the gently sloping mountains besides it.

Tourers/Motorhomes are placed in the Back Fields and have both sea and mountain views. Booking is required for all pitches on Trawsdir, and we only take families and couples, no large groups or groups of singles

Reception Area

The new and improved Reception area contains an elegant Water Feature and an information stand. There is also a shop area which contains all the essentials you need, as well as gifts, toys and camping equipment etc, and friendly staff are always at hand to assist you. Gas is available here for sale and ice blocks are available for hire. On the outside wall of the Reception is a Telephone for Emergencies only.

Launderette

The spacious Launderette which is accessed by a sloping ramp, has two Washing Machines and two Tumble Dryers as well as a shelf at the back. There is an Ironing Board on the far wall and it is accompanied by a Metered Iron and also a Metered Socket that can be used for any of your portable appliances. There is also a handy sink unit and many moveable seats to make the wait more comfortable.

Washroom

The Wash Room Area is open plan and has many sinks and work surfaces. This area overlooks the main camping fields through glass windows across the whole of the near wall. Next to this area is the Chemical Toilet Disposal Point with a Tap inside.

Children’s Play Area

The enclosed Children’s Play Area has a surround wall and a wide entrance, and is a favourite for kids of all ages. There are two table/benches where you can watch your youngsters play amongst new friends and have fun on this regularly inspected equipment

Main Toilet Blocks

Both the Ladies and Men’s Toilet Blocks are newly built and are exactly the same and are spacious and luxurious. There are 3 normal Shower Cubicles as well as 3 Family Cubicles, and 8 toilets. We also have soap dispensers, hand dryers and bins. Background music will relax you as the under floor heating makes this an enjoyable experience for all. There is also a Baby Changing area in both toilets and the whole area is cleaned daily to the highest standards.

Second Toilet Block / Family Room

This area is accessed from the walkway that separated the Reception and the Main Toilet Block and has three areas. There is a Family Cubicle, which has a Toilet, Sink, Hand Rails, Radiator and a Baby Changing Unit. The Men’s and Ladies Toilet Area have 4 Toilet Cubicles and a Shower Cubicle with a foldable seat. There is also a Hand Dryer and a Metered Hairdryer. This area is used when the Main Toilet Block is being cleaned and is also cleaned regularly.

Disabled Toilet

The newly built and spacious Disabled Toilet offers easy access and usage for disable people. The Doorway is extra wide and a radar key is needed from Reception to access it. There are many hand rails, and also a Soap Dispenser, mirror, Hand Dryer and a Hair Dryer. There is a wide Shower Area which has a moveable shower head it is well lit through a large window in the ceiling.

General Information

Payment should be made in Reception prior to pitching or siting your tent, tourer or motorhome. Strictly no watercraft allowed on the Park and Generators are not permitted unless fitted as standard in Motor Homes. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the Park, except for the Dog Walking Area, and must be kept under control and mess collected and disposed of in the dog bins
