Customer Comments“My sister, her partner and myself and my partner and my dog came to stay at your beautiful site at Trawsdir last year and fell in love with the views of the sea and excellent facilities you have (we were amazed by the loos!) I really loved your park and would really love to return with our friends.” Kate Mumford, August 08. “What a fantastic site. The facilities are some of the best I've ever seen. The family size wash areas are brilliant for families with small children. All of which are clean and the best standard. All of the staff were friendly and approachable. Would not hesitate to return to this very well run site.” Ronnie, August 08 "Just returned from a second visit to Trawsdir in the space of 4 weeks! The first camp site we have visited as a family and it’s superb. We recommend any family/couple visit here due to excellent location, cleanliness of the site and attractions nearby.” Mr Mcintyre, August 08 "We'd just like to say a big thank you to all your staff for being kind, friendly and very helpful. What a great site and we hope to be back later in the year.” Mr and Mrs Farnell, April 09 "The pitch space was excellent, the campsite well maintained and clean, the toilets and shower block kept clean throughout our stay and a well stocked shop. When we requested help, or your staff saw us struggling with our van, they were there to help us immediately. Congratulations on an excellent campsite.” Maurice and Jane Paulson, April 09 "Just returned home after a fantastic 8 days at Trawsdir, It is without doubt one the best sites I have camped at, flat dry pitches, superb toilets, plenty of hot water, plenty of cold water points, quiet (ideal for little kids) and superb location. So thanks for a lovely week, we'll be back next year." Andy Gaunt, August 09 "Just a quick note to say thank you for a lovely holiday and the amount of work you put into making the park as clean as possible is second to none, the staff were always friendly and happy to help at any time. The children were very sad to go as they loved it so much, so was we... if the truth be known ...Hope to see you again soon..." Steve Dawson, August 09 "The whole site is immaculate and obviously very well cared for. Plenty of facilities for all the campers and caravaners' alike. The whole experience for us has been a very positive one and I am certain that this is down to the campsite being so well run and offering such wonderful facilities. We could have quite easily stayed another week and I guarantee this is not the last time we visit Trawsdir."The Holt Family, August 10 "We have just returned from a fabulous week long stay at Trawsdir. What an amazing site, professionally maintained and managed, the views are superb, the excellent playarea kept our children entertained for hours and your toilets and showers are the BEST we have seen. We will most definitely be back and will be recommending your site to all our camping friends. Thank you for providing such an excellent campsite!"Andrew, Lisa, Eden & Theo Salisbury, August 10 Below is the complete article published in the Reader's Lives section of the July 2010 issue of Camping, and written by Jude Bowler and family from Cheshire. Our Easter camping consisted of the Bowler family (me, hubby Mark, daughters Morgan and Darcy) and the Birdsall family (being my cousin Jo, hubby Mark, boys Jake and Callum, and daughter Maisy). The site staff at Trawsdir were super professional - the booking process and check-in was a breeze. We were immediately shown to our pitches, which were next to each other as we requested. The pitches were level and very spacious for our Outwell Nevada 4 and the Birdsall's Outwell Hartford XL - and there was still plenty of room for both cars and a trailer on the pitch. We were located close to the superb play area, which has recently been refurbished at a cost of £65K. This proved fantastic as we could let the children wander over and play while we were tinkering about with the tents. Each pitch had a hook-up and we shared a tap with three to four other pitches. The first night we visited the Wayside Inn, easily reached just through the campsite's dog walking field. The food was reasonable, the beer was better, and the children thought the slot machine and the penny arcade was fantastic! The site's showers and toilet block at Trawsdir really was fantastic. Always super clean, it even had underfloor heating and the radio piped through speakers. Pot wash and food prep area was also only ever seen by us as spotless. From the site, Barmouth was just a ten-minute drive and we really enjoyed the beautiful beach. The girls all had donkey rides and there were some hilarious screams from the waltzers at the fairground too. We visited Corris Craft Centre, went on a boat and enjoyed a walking tour of the caves while listening to stories of King Arthur. We also had a nosey at Caerddaniel, which is the static caravan sister site to Trawsdir, and you get a beach parking pass for use here. All in all, this was a great weekend. We loved it and would definitely consider a return trip. The speed sign summed it all up for me "5MPH-Free Range Children About!". |
